Summer Daze Pools Project 1

Summer Daze Pools designed this pool in conjunction with the client to take advantage of the breathtaking surrounding views. Built on a mountainside, the 13m x 6m concrete pool is angled partly out of the ground to create the perfect exercise and relaxation space.
The lack of exterior fencing provides uninterrupted views from within the home and pool. Benches were strategically positioned along the right side of the pool offer the perfect place from which to gaze out at the rolling hills below, while the addition of venturi jets maximises relaxation.

The pool water is provided from the existing rainwater tank, and is kept clean with 8-star energy-efficient pumps from AstralPool, which minimises maintenance and energy costs.

Built with natural colours and elements like steel, stone and wood, the outdoor area blends seamlessly with the home. Summer Daze Pools strategically positioned the pool so the space wouldn’t feel cramped in relation to the house, but ensured it would be close enough so that the beauty of the glass-bead interior would enhance the view.

Large stepping stones – cut the perfect size for sun-loungers – were positioned alongside the water feature to create a private oasis. The vertical-wire stainless steel fencing provides safety, is easy to maintain and doesn’t obstruct the outlook across the pool.

The water feature has a stackstone finish and a large waterfall jet. Multicoloured LED lights from Spa Electrics run throughout the pool, while a lighting strip was installed underneath the water feature, which allows the beauty of the entire space to be admired at any time.
