Every year, the Landscape Queensland Construction Excellence Awards showcases the fantastic achievements of the industry, and despite the challenges posed by 2020, this year proved to be no different. Held virtually on Saturday the 14th of November 2020, the official awards night showcased an amazing range of residential and commercial projects from throughout the state, culminating in the announcement of the Queensland Landscape Construction of the Year for both the Residential and Commercial segments of the industry.

The evening was hosted by 97.3FM breakfast host Terry Hansen, and live crosses to the winners and their individual parties made for a fun and interesting evening, including the announcement of the winner of the inaugural Landscape Legend Award. Landscape Queensland CEO, Mark Sorby, says that “despite the challenges that 2020 has thrown up, this year’s industry awards program again showcased the high skill levels and professionalism of the landscape industry.” He also explains that industry trends were changing to meet consumer demands, [and that] this sees landscapers undertaking “an exciting and diverse range of projects”, which were reflected in some of this year’s awards entries submitted from throughout the state.
