ARGO Architects Project 2

For this project, the clients approached Argo Architects to design and oversee the construction of an outdoor space that would be cohesive with the artistic elements of their home. Working within a small 2.9m-wide space, the company’s founder Will Marcus personally managed the development of this pool and spa combination and its complementary landscaping to ensure a highly functional and visually appealing result was achieved.

Glass mosaic tiles from Bisazza Australia’s Le Gemme 20 collection feature throughout the pool and spa’s interior. They were also used for the paving, coping and feature wall for a harmonious aesthetic. Argo Architects selected the tiles for their fresh and calming effect, which beautifully contrasts with the black-toned timber decking. The pool features an underwater bench that extends along its entire length and offers a great place for relaxation. Steppers were installed as a striking and highly functional way to provide access to both ends of the pool. Fitted with a Solarwise solar heater and blanket, and a water leveller, the pool is capable of saving 20,000–30,000 litres of water every year.
