The owners of this Brisbane property wanted a pool and surrounding landscape that would complement the size, scale and style of their house, to ensure it would feel like part of their home.
Though the property is an acre, the homeowners were restricted with the amount of space that could be allocated to the swimming pool and additional structures, due to the local council’s building envelope requirements.
The design team from Cityscapes Pools & Landscapes responded with a clever design that sees the whole project sit within the building envelope without compromise. The pool can be viewed and accessed from many different areas of the home.
The 13m x 5.5m concrete pool combines straight lines with graceful curves for a stunning effect. The pool is connected to a series of cascading fully-tiled ponds, which create a beautiful feature when walking through a breezeway in the home. The design also includes a fabulous raised spa and water feature, providing hours of fun for the whole family.
The materials palette was carefully chosen to be beautiful, while remaining classic and simple. silver-grey marble coping and paving has been paired with off-white crystal tiles and a 1mm polished pebble interior finish. This classic styling ensures the design will not date.
