While aesthetics and entertaining were the main objectives, with the incorporation of a swim jet system, Eco Pool Solutions was also able to meet the clients’ desire to be able to exercise.
The 11.4m x 3.5m concrete pool was raised 4.9 metres above ground level, and constructed close to the boundary of the property to make room for a large adjoining entertainment area, in level with the first-floor deck. A horizon edge was incorporated into the pool design to take advantage of the view across the meandering creek below.
The horizon edge feeds a separate water tank that automatically tops the pool up via a float valve, recycling the water lost through spillage.
The pool is surrounded by light grey granite coping, which highlights the pool shape and allows it to blend in with the darker wood of the decking. Initially designed by Natural Lifestyle Homes and the clients’ architect who completed the home’s renovation, the pool also features an Astral variable speed pump, a Zodiac TRi water chlorinator and three Spa Electrics niche multi-coloured LED lights.
