This contemporary outdoor area by Kenchi Lifestyle gardens incorporates a range of different elements, surfaces and textures to bring together a look that is rustic, yet modern.
This unique area features Merbau timber decking with a natural faded finish, complementing the gabion cage retaining wall that supports the garden beds. the powder coated aluminium fencing provides a distinct contrast against the green lawn and landscaping.
The design utilises practical features throughout, with under-seat storage offering functional use of the space. An outdoor shower with stainless steel fittings is also included, making it easy to rinse off after a swim in the luxurious lap pool.
The overall design is set among native coastal vegetation and creates a central focus on the pool with a sheer descent water feature cascading over the sleek white-tiled backdrop to one side. the outdoor dining space is sectioned-off by glass balustrading on the other side, overlooking the area.
The design uses environmentally-friendly Led lighting to illuminate the space, which casts a warm light over the columns beside the pool and adds to the area’s strong visual impact.
The stone retaining wall enclosed by a wire frame provides a focal point to the area, with lush overhanging greenery softening the look. recycled timber was used to tie-in with the rustic theme by creating a feature bench held in place by two stone slabs. the whole design plays off the rendered white walls of the home and creates a luscious retreat from the house.
