Nestled among lush palm trees and beautiful lilly pilly, this inviting pool and spa combination was expertly constructed by Nautilus Pools Pty Ltd. Designed by the company’s director Peter Byrne, the project perfectly meets the brief for a private resort-style pool in which the homeowners can relax throughout the year.

To maximise the potential of the backyard, Nautilus Pools Pty Ltd positioned the 7m x 3.8m pool against the boundary fence, which provided ample space for a large lawn area. Glass fencing was selected to maintain spacious visual appeal.

With a light-blue interior finish and complementary waterline tiles, the pool exudes a tropical aesthetic. Utilising rainwater from an existing tank and fitted with a self-cleaning chlorinator, sand filters, and a silent energy-efficient pump, the pool is easy to maintain and incurs minimal operation costs.

Sand-coloured Quartzite was selected to surround the pool, while similar pavers were incorporated within the patio for continuity.

Acting as a privacy barrier, the stackstone water feature produces a soothing sound effect. A stained-timber seating area adds warmth and functionality to the space.

For a streamlined aesthetic, Nautilus Pools Pty Ltd installed a separate wooden bench next to the spa to house the pool’s cleaning equipment.
