For this project, Rock Spa & Caves transformed the homeowner’s backyard into a tranquil resort. The large freeform pool has many luxurious additions, including a swim-up bar, a waterfall, and a relaxing spa.

Designed in close collaboration with the homeowner, the outdoor space spans two separate levels, which are joined by an impressive timber bridge. To perfectly meet the homeowner’s brief, Rock Spa & Caves installed custom-made artificial rock features and lush gardens, which tie in with the overall design.

The pool’s concrete shell was reinforced with a durable steel cage, which ensures it can withstand the pressure of the surrounding structures.

The pool features a blue pebblecrete interior that gives the water a delightful hue, while contrasting vibrantly with the sandstone paving. Rock Spa & Caves also incorporated five submerged colour-changing LED lights, which allows the pool to be enjoyed at night.

Solar-powered heating and an automatic top-up system – plumbed to rainwater tanks – were installed to ensure the pool remains cost-efficient and easy to maintain. The 13m x 8m pool is large enough for a group to enjoy, which makes it ideal for the homeowner’s love for entertaining.

The luxurious spa features eight jets for the ultimate relaxation experience. To ensure the water can be quickly heated, Rock Spa & Caves installed an energy-efficient electric heat pump.
